What a great first week of school! Our staff were together for workshop days on Monday and Tuesday, and attended a District-Wide Luncheon and Meeting on Tuesday afternoon. After School Committee Chair Andrea Mancuso and WEA President Susan Lombardo welcomed staff, Superintendent Dr. Peter Lancia reviewed summer projects and initiatives for the new year and gave a talk about the year's theme: I belong here! Then, as is our tradition, employees celebrating milestone anniversaries were honored as were new employees, veteran employees moving into new positions, and employees who had received professional honors and recognitions. See the attached program for a list of honorees. Students arrived on Wednesday and Thursday and had a smooth orientation and transition into the new school year. Several open houses were held throughout the week with huge crowds and even bigger smiles. Our new year promises to be a fantastic one!
