On Tuesday, May 19th at 6 PM, the family engagement team will be offering a Summer Kick-Off event in conjunction with the Middle School Art Show. ALL FAMILIES are invited. We will have bags full of stuff for them, including pencils, notebooks, chalk, and cards. Walker Memorial will be there sharing their summer schedules and signing kids up for library cards, and best of all, KEVIN HAWKES will be doing a presentation about illustrating books from 6:30-7 PM.
Kevin Hawkes is a well-known Maine illustrator, and he won the 2026 Chickadee Prize for his book Luigi the Spider Who Wanted to Be a Kitten.
