Throughout the month of December, Saccarappa School students recognized their peers for following the Safe, Ready, and Respectful expectations. The students did this by giving each other Golden Tickets. At the beginning of the month, classes discussed the types of behaviors that enable learning in the classroom and those that disrupt instruction or distract from learning. The students then spent the month practicing Safe, Ready, and Respectful behaviors and noticing other students who were consistently following these expectations as well.
At the end of the month, we collected all of the Golden Tickets, and the top three ticket holders in each classroom were invited to an ice cream party. The students enjoyed some treats, listening to music, and, of course, dancing.
