Westbrook School Department Public Pre-Kindergarten Program

Know a child who is turning 4 on or before October 15, 2026? It's time to start thinking about Pre-K! Come to our parent/guardian information session at Canal School on Tuesday, March 10th, at 6:00 p.m. More information about Westbrook's Pre-K can be found below.

All Westbrook families are invited to a Game Night at Canal School on February 12th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. There is a Game Swap opportunity: if you bring a game, you get to take a different one home! See the attached flyer for more information.

Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday for our Friends and Family Pancake Breakfast. Also, thank you to the staff servers and pancake-flipping volunteers. We couldn't have done it without you all!

The Saccarappa Masonic Lodge is sponsoring a Bikes for Books raffle throughout the elementary schools in Westbrook. Two bikes and helmets will be given away at each grade level and school. All your child has to do is read 5 short books or 100 pages to be entered into the raffle. The more books that your child reads, the more chances they have to win! We will be collecting entries until May 7th, and winners will be announced on May 11th. Entry slips were sent home in folders and emailed out to families as well. Happy Reading!

Students have been working on their book-finding skills in the library. They had to find examples of picture books, graphic novels, nonfiction, holiday books, and more! The scavenger hunt got their bodies moving and their brains focused on our goal!

Thank you to Dr. Kelly and Mr. Brunner for reading to our kindergarten classrooms before the break. Also, thank you to the Kiwanis Club for donating books so that all kindergarten students could take one home to enjoy!

Enjoy dine-in or take-out at Rio Bravo on Wednesday, January 7th, and the Saccarappa PTO will receive 10% of the sales!

Thank you to the Westbrook High School Jazz Band and Chamber Singers for performing some of their holiday hits at Saccarappa this morning. The students and staff loved it!

Kameron Warrens from the Maine Celtics visited with Saccarappa's 4th graders today to discuss how to live a healthy lifestyle. We even played a few games of Crusher Says! Thank you to the Maine Celtics and Martin's Point Health Care for providing this opportunity for our students.
