Join Saccarappa’s PTO on Friday, December 13th, for a bus tour of Main Street to see the festive light display. Buses will leave Saccarappa starting at 5:30 p.m. and will stop at Riverbank Park so that you can enjoy some hot chocolate and mingle with friends. The last bus coming back to Saccarappa will leave the park at 7:20 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event. We hope to see you there!

Wintery weather is in the forecast and weather conditions may cause us to delay the start of school or cancel school. I will send an automated phone call, text message, and email announcing our plans, typically between 5-5:30am. We will also post information on channel 6, 8, and 13, the school department website, and the school department social media. Please see the attached letter from September explaining the full plan for winter weather.

Saccarappa celebrated Safe, Ready, and Respectful behavior last week with a Movement Break Party! Each class submitted their favorite movement break video, and then each grade came to the cafeteria and had a chance to get their wiggles out with friends. Well done, Shining Stars!
Saccarappa is thankful for our community partners. Last week, the Altrusa Club of Portland visited our kindergarten classes to read and hand out books to the students. The students also enjoyed blankets donated by the Warm Hugs group at Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church. Thank you to all of the local organizations who go above and beyond to support Westbrook Schools.
The lost and found is filling up! If you see something that may be yours, encourage your child to visit the entryway to retrieve it. The building is also open from 8 to 4 every school day if you want to look for yourself. Thank you!
Want to join the Shining Star Team? We're hiring! A noon duty aide position will be available following Thanksgiving break. For more information and to apply online, click the link below.
