Real world application is a huge part of the experience here at Westbrook High School. Last Friday, our JMG program and the Aspirations Center teamed up to provide WHS students an opportunity to visit and explore CCB Construction right here in Westbrook. Chris Strout and Nicole Sturgis brought a number of eager students on site to see a large scale construction company at work. The students were able to do some really cool things, like donning some hard hats, going up in a lift (pictured), and observing employees operate heavy machinery. These are the experiences that augment the WHS education and not only prepare students for the "real world," but also stoke the flames of curiosity about all of the potential career paths that lie ahead.
