Congrats, grads!!! The Class of 2025 graduated on Saturday at Merrill Auditorium in Portland. It was a stunning ceremony, featuring live musical performances, including The Star Spangled Banner, performed by senior band and chorus students, as well as Home, performed as part of Hannah Christensen's valedictory address. There were also speeches by Honor Essayist Finn Graffam, WRVC Top Student Hasib Abid, and Salutatorian Naomi Cabana. Additionally, School Committee Rep Katy Rice, Co-Principal Patrick Colgan, and Superintendent Dr. Peter Lancia delivered remarks.
After diplomas were conferred and the graduates congregated with friends and families on Myrtle Street, they hopped on the school busses and headed to the Westbrook Community Center for the Project Grad event. This year's Project Grad was absolutely epic, with two escape rooms, a giant splat ball course, a full scale video game parlor, pool, ping pong, mini golf, and so much more. There was also an enormous spread of super yummy food. The Project Grad parents truly outdid themselves!
