Beyond the awards and placements, what stood out most was how our students carried themselves throughout the competition... with collaboration, mutual respect, professionalism, and teamwork. They supported one another, represented WRVC with pride, and embodied the values of our school community.

We are also incredibly grateful for the leadership and dedication of Chef Maureen Hernandez and Captain Pete Anestis, whose guidance, encouragement, and care were instrumental in preparing our students for this experience. Their commitment to student growth and confidence-building made this opportunity possible.

As an added honor, our students were awarded a $1,000 scholarship from The Culinary Institute of America in recognition of their participation, an incredible investment in their future, and a testament to their talent and potential.

This experience reflects what CTE does best: building skills, confidence, character, leadership, and career pathways for students.

👏 We are so proud of every student who competed and represented WRVC with excellence!
