And they're off! Congratulations to the winners of the Bikes for Books raffle, and thank you to the Saccarappa Masonic Lodge for sponsoring this event. It has been a lovely start to our summer camp-themed Staff Appreciation Week. Thank you to all of the families who contributed to the Chalk Walk, to Stroudwater Church for the delicious treats, and to Horace Mann for the cookies, games, and prizes. We are feeling appreciated and can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store.

Second grade has been working hard on their animal research projects, and yesterday they showcased all of their work for the rest of the school! Each class studied a different habitat, including rainforest, arctic, savanna, and ocean, and each student researched an animal from that habitat. They wrote their own nonfiction chapter books and created a diorama to depict all that they learned. Well done, second graders!
